Making composite panoramas is very different from what I "normally" shoot. I take on a different mindset; there's more planning involved and there's much more technical stuff happening. Even though I'd like to control everything about a session, sometimes serendipity shows up and changes things...and that's when magic happens.
On this particular morning, I had just finished up with several cityscapes and was taking the long way to my car when I saw the sunrise creating this ethereal pathway to somewhere. Nice. I quickly set up and was in the process of shooting when the unexpected happened...the sprinkler system kicked on, creating a soft mist above the landscaping. Not only that, but I got some nice lens flare emanating from the rising sun.
Thank you, Serendipity. Let's hang out more often.
