AWARE-2 Demo System

Durham Bulls versus the Columbus Clippers - August 7th, 2012. Pitcher throwing the ball at the Durham Bulls Atheltic Park. The image nicely demonstrates the snapshot capability of the AWARE camera. While multiple microcameras are used to image the pitcher, the composited image demonstrates consistent timing between the frames in spite of the motion. In other regions of the image, it is clear where there are inconsistencies in the forward model used for compositing. We are recalibrating the system to see if we can improve on the overlap. When we have our next generation optics online in November, we expect to have pixel-limited resolution which will improve our compositing model and provide a true high resolution snapshot.
