I am conducting a study on the relationship between willows and the large-flowered wintergreen (Pyrola grandiflora). It is known that the large-flowered wintergreen is often found growing under or near willows; assuming that the flowers use the willows for shelter, I believe that sites with greater willow cover will have a greater number of large-flowered wintergreen. I am recording the number of flowers at each site and will be estimating percent cover of willows using these Gigapan images and image analysis software. I am also recording the different types of willow found in each quadrat, as well as any other plant species present
