Description

Terrace Hill overlooks San Luis Obispo, California. In the distance are two of our local landmark mountains: Cerro San Luis Obispo and Bishop Peak. San Luis Obispo is the home of California Polytechnic State University, and is the county seat of San Luis Obispo County. In the middle of downtown you can see historic Mission San Luis Obispo, built by Spanish missionaries in 1772. In the foreground is the train station, which is visited several times daily by trains from the north (starting their journey in Seattle, Washington, and south, starting their journey in San Diego.

This is a remake of an earlier GigaPan that I made and posted. This one was shot at 400mm, providing significantly greater detail in the image. The new one is also not plagued by strong wind as the first one was (resulting in a few areas of blur).
