The Rogaland Arboretum was established in 1972 and today includes 5,6 hectares of forest and parkland. The collections hold approximately 1 400 taxa from temperate and mountainous areas worldwide.

The most important collections are: Acer, Sorbus, Syringa, Taxus and cultivars of Rhododendron.
