Silent Sunday - Once a month, the city of Phoenix closes the park to motor vehicles so that hikers and cyclists can climb to the summit and enjoy the silence. The 7.5 mile uphill climb of over 1300 feet ends in this viewpoint parking area next to a broadcast antenna farm.
