Hickory Run State Park, Pennsylvania
Purportedly created through an unusual bi-product of glaciation, Boulder Field is an incredible expanse of large rocks in the middle of picturesque forestland. This formation near the intersecition of Route 80 and Route 476 must be seen to be understood. This early morning version is free of visitors yet the evening before there were scores of people clambering through the mile long stretch.
