Looking northwards from the Beacon Hill/Georgetown area of Seattle. This image is a 2x7 multi-row panorama taken using my Sigma SD14 camera and Sigma 70-200/2.8 EX lens mounted on the Gigapan robotic pano head. I had to reverse the tripod collar so the camera/lens would be positioned back far enough to let the camera body clear the pano head (vertical arm) and the lens would fit to the left of the shutter servo bracket. Even so, the camera/lens is 'front heavy' and the pano head must be 'assisted' to move the lens otherwise the motor will 'miss' steps. I took the pano in manual shutter mode, using my left index finger to support the lens under the lens hood and help the pano head rotate it upwards.
