I'm finally becoming mindful of people walking in pictures and gradually getting to understand the Gigapan robot. I discovered that night shots created a hunt for focus that screwed up the automatic trigger. My "new" $200 G-7 has a better manual focus setting than an earlier Canon point and shoot. It helps. Now comes the hard part -- combining a dramatic composition, great light, and subject that calls out for extreme detail.
