The large peat-bog Jezerní Slat (Lake Fen - 103 ha) lies on the boundary between South Bohemia and West Bohemia and borderline between river basins of the Vltava and Otava rivers in the surroundings of the small village Kvilda. The average thickness of peat layer is between 2 - 3 m, the maximal thickness is 7. 5 m. The vegetation and some animals are protected here.
