My first public attempt at making a gigapan from focus-stacked images. It took about 6 hours to shoot the 540 images needed for this 60-image gigapan. I used a 200mm prime from a distance of about 1.5m to get the resolution I wanted. I also used f/2.8 to get the shutter speed down to something acceptable (0.5s). It would have made more sense to use a smaller aperture for the greater depth of field, but I wanted to give the focus-stacking software a good test.
Clearly I am not there yet although there are some very promising regions.
