Along the Potomac River, just a few miles north of Seneca Rocks West Virginia, I found this great spot for both geologizing and fishing.
The outcrop in front of the friendly fishermen is a steeply dipping southeasterly striking ridge of Oriskany sandstone.
At a glance driving by, I thought perhaps this was a tiny little antiform, but alas, it was only a combination of bedding and jointing
