About the subject: Vancouver has recently been visited by a very interesting vessel. The DEVELOPMENT WAY is a self-loading, self-propelled, semi-submersible ship. She originally started life as an LPG/chemical carrier. While the original engines have been retained, the original cargo spaces have been removed, the deck widened to 38 meters, and an extra deck has been added to the bow. If you look carefully at the image you will see the cargo. The Haida Brave and the Straits Logger were familiar sights in the waters off Vancouver and the collection of tugs and barges being scrapped can be seen behind the two bigger vessels on the Development ways deck
