Kukuxumusu relocated is a large-scale piece by Mikel Urmeneta which proposes the temporary relocation of a company —Kukuxumusu, founded by Mikel himself in 1989— from its usual premises to the gallery Moisés Pérez de Albéniz.
Over a two month period, a fully functioning office exhibited as a project in an art space will form a sort of corporate ready-made.
Kukuxumusu’s 22 workers will have to adapt to new conditions in terms of environment and visibility, working in full view of the gallery spectators whilst being monitored by various cameras and microphones that will transmit their working day via live streaming
Kukuxumusu relocated is an artistic piece, but also an experiment in social engineering whose consequences it will only be possible to evaluate properly when the project is over.
