This gigapan was taken from a bridge to the north of Sokubaru Dam and reservoir before the Omoto tunnel. Captured here a mix native forest area above reservoir containing Ryukyu pine and tree ferns with other tropical genera. Tropical Island Ecosystem biology.

On a cloudy day this is my first gigapan in Ishigaki island ,Okinawa,Japan The place is Tamatorizaki viewpoint looking north to Hirakubo peninsula.This area is the narrowest part of Ishigaki island and to the left of image is the East China Sea and to the right is the Pacific Ocean.
