Description

A good place for fossil-hunting and cmlbath-spotting. The gigapan inlcudes at least three odd things: an oil well, a folly and a fire engine.

It is most interesting to compare your GigaPan of Kimmeridge Bay with one taken by Tony Bates www.gigapan.org/gigapans/32097/ almost three years ago.

There is a great deal more available information concerning the conflict(s) between England and Spain: in 1595, a Spanish force, under Don Carlos de Amesquita, which had been patrolling the channel, opportunistically landed troops in Cornwall, western England. Amesquita's force seized supplies, raided and burned Penzance and several surrounding villages, held a mass, and sailed away before it could be confronted ... extracted from en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid =1090966 Will open in

Cheers. I also like it. There doesn't seem to be much going on until you start looking carefully.

I belive this to be an excellent example of visual excitement concerning the Dorset coastline. This may become one of my top favorites AND the snapshot comments are very learned too, which makes the GigaPan all that much better.

Thanks for the compliment although I, perfectionist that I am, thought it could be sharper. I wanted to get the people in the foreground and the rock strata in focus and don't feel I quite managed it. But still, I do like the overall image.

I would like to add that are not allowed to use a hammer on this beach - restircting fosssiling somewhat. Something about it being a marine conservation area.

This one turned out nice - good and sharp - you don't need bright sun for a decent Gigapan
