Birthplace of The Liberator
How to tell a story with Gigapan?
Taking advantage of some itinerant actors, we recreate this scene of colonial Caracas, right across from Casa Natal del Libertador. Thanks to the actors. Rather than seeing the house, use the dinamic takes (snapshots) and follow the scena. Is great to see too in fullscreen or in Google Earth

This is a beautiful colonial house dating from the eighteenth century and in which Simon Bolivar was born July 24, 1783. Inside display works of the great painter Tito Salas, showing some of the most important moments in the life of the Liberator and the history of the Great Colombia.

In this building you can admire the rooms and corridors furnished and decorated with the austerity that characterized the colonial era, and some personal items that belonged to the father of his country. It has wide corridors, large windows overlooking the street, barn, corral and an internal courtyard, which is the pile of stone where he was baptized Simón Bolívar.

Importantly, adjacent to the house is the Bolivarian Museum, which since June 1911 has beautiful collections of Venezuelan art, along with symbolic documents, weapons and clothing of Simon Bolivar. Among the relics, include portraits of the Liberator painted by different artists and the casket in which his remains were transferred to Caracas, from Santa Marta, Colombia.

Address: it is located on the corner of San Jacinto and ragged, off the Plaza El Venezolano.
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. 12 m. and 2 p.m. at 4 p.m.
Phone: 58 (212) 541-2563.
