In the far Northeast corner of Arizona (USA) lies the Spiritual Landscape and Geology of Monument Valley. A Geological story of hundreds of millions of years of sediment buildup and then erosion by the elements leaving what we see today as free standing buttes, towers of the hardest uneroded rock. A Spiritual Landscape to the Navajo Indians and others for centuries it is also well known worldwide for being the background to numerous American Western movies and subjects from Sci-Fi to cartoons.
