If you would like to see all the (geocoded) gigapans in the world in GE then let me have an email address (private message or get my email address from my web site) and I will send you the GE file.

Will do - the good thing about the Titles is they are just that. The gigapan # never changes.

OK, so in the case of this particular gigapan the mal-formed KMZ file is easy to fix if you would like to (not that you should have to - there is bug in the gigapan code). I think if you change the and-sign to the word "and" in the title, give the server a day or two to register the change, and try the View in GE link again, it will work.

Long story without a happy ending. Originally the share box was not ticked and I kept forgetting to tick it. I suggested I was not the only person that found this annoying and they changed it so sharing was the default. Then they changed the web site and it wasn't the default any more. I asked them to change it again but they - the commerical gigapan people, not the original engineers at CMU - don't spend enough on engineers so there is nobody with time to make even the simplest changes/fixes. Regarding the gigapans "showing up" in GE, I think you misunderstand (quite reasonably) what the gigapan "view/share in GE" is about. At one time, yes, there was a gigapan layer in GE but this was a one-off. A human being was employed to find 300 of the best gigapans and they were added to GE. Since no humans have since been employed by gigapan, the layer never grew. What you get instead is, in principle, a link appearing under your gigapan saying "View in GE". When you click on this, you get, in principle a KMZ file that you open in GE and you automatically fly in to your gigapan. I say "in principle" because - as I have just discovered - sometimes the KMZ file is corrupted. I will report this but sadly I doubt we will see a fix any time soon. Explore scores have been broken since April after all :-( But hey! Thanks for taking the time to try and make your work available in GE.

Would seem I didn't have share set. I think it used to be the default but I'm not 100% sure of that. Are they even showing up on Google Earth now? Last time I asked on Tech Support they said it had been years since Google had put any one. At that point none of mine were listed. 360Cities has had much better luck with getting panos onto Google Earth it would seem. All in all kind of funny as I shoot for Google anyway LOL

Hi! Nice Shot. Was it your intention to allow people to see this image in Google Earth? If so, we can't. We can see where it was taken in the "Where in the World is this GigaPan" map, but there is no "View in Google Earth" link. I think that you have geocoded it (kudos for that) but not ticked the box that says "Share using Google Earth" on the geocoding page.
