As a matter of interest, what were the specs of the camera used for these images? I'd imagine that the guys had some of the best equipment available at the time although the choice must have been compromised by weight/volume issues. Please don't get me wrong - I think these are great images, but I was struck by how small they are. I'm assuming that my surprise is a result of me not starting to take photographs until a year ago. On the other hand, perhaps there are some really high quality negatives? Couldn't you put them through a 4000dpi scanner?
