About the subject: Grouse Mountain is located in North Vancouver and is a well-known landmark that dominates Vancouver’s northern skyline. It is a 30 minute drive from downtown Vancouver and no matter what the season is a popular destination. It offers outstanding views over the whole of Vancouver, parts of Burnaby, Richmond and Tsawwassen. On a clear day you can see Vancouver Island and the San Juan islands in the Haro strait. This particular view is from the ski run known as “The Cut” taken at an altitude of about 1200 meters looking to the south. The immediate foreground shows the Lonsdale area of North Vancouver, the Burred Inlet, and the city.
About the image: This image consists of 91 individual images made using an Epic Pro. They were taken with a Canon 50D fitted with a Canon EF 200 2.8 70-200 EF zoom lens @ 200mm and processed via DXO, PTgui and CS5
