West Vancouver’s Whytecliffe Park is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. The park wraps around a protected bay which features Whyte islet shown in the foreground of this image. The rocky and barnacle encrusted causeway which joins White Islet to the mainland only emerges during low tide. The shallow bay is beautifully sheltered with minimal tidal action and is popular with scuba divers and swimmers. From the viewpoints on the west side of the park the Strait of Georgia and the islands provide tranquil vistas.
