This is a 360 degree panorama of Victoria's breakwater, shot on Jan 4, 2013, just before the Harbour Authority spoiled the experience and put handrails along its length.
Each of the 24 exposures making up this panoramic photo was shot in full manual, exposed for 0.8 seconds at f/16, ISO 100 on my Nikon D600 and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens.
The panorama was stitched together with Autopano Giga. The pano is imperfect; I still can't get the upper left image to stitch properly. It was made up of just sky, water, and horizon, so there weren't any connecting points between its neighbours.
I hope to perfect this panorama one day, as I'll never be able to shoot the breakwater again without construction equipment or handrails. This Canadian heritage site has been spoiled by a bureaucratic shuffle.
