A hard drive “mistake” resulted in the loss of quite a few of my GigaPans (I know, shame on me). Is there any way I could download the ’pans from the web site? |

Don’t know what resolution you would get but you could try ‘share’ then email it to yourself. Might be over your permitted attachment limit though. |

Ummm, really? I was always under the impression our Gigapans were safe from people “stealing” and printing them on their own. Now that I know it isn’t safe, not sure I want to post the “good” ones. |

Sharing a Gigapan via email only sends the link to the Gigapans image page on Gigapan. It is not possible to print from Gigapan an image that is not either marked as ‘public print’ or is in your own account. It is theoretically possible to systematically reconstruct an image that is publicly posted on Gigapan as the underlying tiles are all available by http, but doing so for any unauthorized use (ie, printing) is copyright infringement. |

You can always try asking gigapan.com to recover the image for you. They have done this in the past for me (admittedly when gigpan.com was gigapan.org). |
