I’ve been using Galleries for a couple of weeks now and there are a couple of things that are now screaming out to me to be fixed about them:

1) Under the “View” menu at the top of every page are options to view Galleries by “Most Recent” and “Most Popular”. Both choices currently return the results for “Most Recent”. While this may have made sense before galleries had many views, now that galleries are getting more views I’d really like to see the “Most Popular” option return galleries by the number of views (with a secondary tiebreaking sort by of “most recent”, perhaps).

2) A sort by “largest” should return the galleries with the largest number of GigaPans, not the largest average size. This rewards the effort of the gallery curator, not one’s ability to make a gallery with a single huge GigaPan. (The current result is pretty spammy.)

3) Galleries that exist for more that 1 week (or 24 hours?) with 0 GigaPans are useless and should be deleted automatically as spam. If a user wants to recreate that gallery later, that’s fine, but galleries without GigaPans are taking attention away from galleries that actually contain GigaPans.

4) WTF is with all the “undefined” options in the filters?

5) Could we have an official “Category…” for “geology” now that there are more galleries with that topic than any other?

6) PLEASE enable editing of Categories after a gallery is created!

7) For large galleries it would be nice to have an option to “Update” on the Gallery edit page above the list of GigaPans as well as below it.

8) Not a fix, but a feature request: it would be nice to have a Google Map showing the locations of GigaPans in a Gallery and also the ability to output a KML/KMZ file so GigaPans in a Gallery could be viewed (as a group) in Google Earth.
