| Need Longer Trigger Press... | |

When I am shooting an indoor panorama, there is typically low light and quite a bit of contrast. This means that I need to shoot a bracketed set of photos (for HDR) and the exposure times are typically quite long. Because of this, I find that the 8 second maximum trigger length often is insufficient. (1 sec, 2 sec, 4 sec plus the faster side often adds up to greater than 8 seconds.) Any chance this could be updated in the firmware to as much as 30 seconds (or more)? It would be way cool being able to shoot some evening panos too but that really isn’t much of a possibility at this point. Thanks! |

My camera a Sony Alpha 99 has several modes of bracketing. One of the modes is an S mode bracket that requires a trigger press for every shot of a 5 or less segment bracket. This is the mode I use with the GigaPan. |

I have a Nikon D800E which clearly isn’t a slouch of a camera and for reasons I can’t explain, it doesn’t have that feature. Sony clearly has one up on Nikon on that one. (BTW: I hear the A99 is quite the camera.) I’m not sure why the Gigapan limits it to 8 seconds, it sure would be easy I’d imagine to add 16 and even 32 seconds as options. |
