Hello Zuk10, our apologies; our offices were closed on 15 April. I found your support case this morning and responded to you.

Here is the solution that solved the problem zuk10 describes. If anyone else receives a “Runtime Error B2” when upgrading firmware from v 128 to v 171, try updating your Epic Pro via USB power:

1. Power up the unit in firmware update mode by holding down the “up” button and the power button with the battery inserted into the unit.

2. Plug the USB cable into the imager once it says “firmware import”, and then the computer. Once the unit is plugged in, remove the battery. Your firmware update to the Epic Pro will proceed on USB power alone. The Epic Pro screen may be dim or appear faint, but don’t worry; the USB has enough power to update.

3. Follow the other instructions for importing, and your imager should now be updated to the new firmware.
